Congratulations, you’ve completed treatment and you’re sober! Now what?

Extended Care is the next vital step on the journey of recovery. At Sure Haven we work with each young woman to identify her specific needs; and, with her input, design a unique and comprehensive treatment program that meets those needs. Our compassionate, dedicated treatment team works tirelessly and collaboratively with each client through all stages of her recovery.

We believe it is essential to look at the complete person and thoroughly address any and all mental health issues, eating disorders, physical or sexual trauma, contributing family issues, sex and love addiction or any other addictive disorders. We work with the most respected professionals, our independent care partners, and carefully select the most appropriate fit for each client based on her assessment.

It is crucial that newly sober women are given the opportunity to heal; often that means facing the painful feelings, thoughts and traumas that may have led them to substance abuse. This process is overwhelming and scary, so it is important to be in a safe, loving, highly supportive environment like Sure Haven. We walk through the difficult times with one another, establishing trust and encouraging new, enhanced values that promote the true healing of our Mind, Body, and Spirit.

Our program teaches the tools that will make our clients successful when they reintroduce themselves to the world as recovering women, ready to take on life’s challenges. Our program includes Personalized Treatment, Volunteering, Life Skills, Nutrition Services, Spiritual Growth, Personal Growth along with Educational and Career Opportunities.

Unlike most treatment centers, Sure Haven also goes beyond therapy, groups, case management and education. We can provide our clients with chiropractic services, nutritionist services, EMDR, life coaching, academic counseling and planning, Eastern Holistic services, OB/GYN services and dental services.

Staying sober during detox was easy. It’s LIVING sober that was hard. This isn’t our first rodeo. We know that it’s easy for our daughter to stay sober during detox or in a primary treatment center where her activity is restricted. But how is she supposed to LIVE in her own home in a community and stay sober?

Christie’s last chance was Sure Haven’s extended care program where she was loved and had a very structured enviornment. Over the last year the support was released gradually and as she stepped down in levels of care she began to gain her freedom only when she was ready to stay drug free and build a successful career and friendships.

Sure Haven showed me the value of Sober Living.

The process of getting sober was emotionally, mentally, and physically exhausting. It was an experience unlike any other and one that ripped open parts of myself that I completely forgot about, and some that I wanted to forget. The process of staying sober is entirely different.

For me, its about learning how to embrace and carry those parts of me through whatever life throws at me. I’ve also learned that in order to do this, its going to take some adjustments on my part which comes with a lot of uncomfortability and confusion. And I now know that to figure out how to do this sober life, I need a lot of support and guidance before I can handle it on my own. Sure Haven is where I’ve found the value of sober living.
